Jig!

Summer is for jigging. And cementing that new love you found in the spring. What better way to combine the two than getting your body roll on for (and./or with) the woman you love?  For all my dancing bruhs, drag kings, stud strippers, hip rollers, and those fellas who wanna be any of the former, I present a list of  music to move to that's sure to please the ladies and keep your stud card in tact.  Hopefully, some of these choices are new to y'all, or at least not overdone. I've marked the ones I'd peel my v-neck off to. You know, 'cause I'm helpful and shit. :-)

All the Cool Kids Are Doing It

It's that time of year where you're either cruising with the windows down (or the AC blasting) or hiding from the sun and insects. Here's some things to help you pass the time either way:

loveis4suckaz.com - download the new, free mixtape from Krucial Brothers' new protege', Alexandra "Andra" Govere. Funky, quirky, surprisingly soulful pop music for your car stereo. My fave track: "Robotic".

durandbernarr.bandcamp.com - Chill out and wind down under the ceiling fan to the smooth, neo-soulful sounds of my man from ATL. Two free mixtapes - one, a tribute to Erykah Badu; the other, filled with dope covers and original material. My fave track: Borderline Worship

youtube.com/goinggoldenagain - Have a Golden Girls marathon on the couch

youtube.com/adwstan - Or have a Living Single marathon in bed

youtube.com/hartbeat - Get familiar with one of YouTube's newest partners, Hart, a young stud from Cali who's a talented musician and all-around hilarious person.

And don't forget to be on the lookout for Diggy Simmons' sophomore mixtape, Airborne, on July 29th. This kid is gonna be very successful very soon. He's got a deal with Atlantic, a shoe line called Chivalrous Culture (which I can't wait to get my hands on this fall), personal style to spare, and a blog dedicated to it all: digslifeofthejetsetter.blogspot.com/
